![]() (On a carburetor, rejetting can give you a boost in one RPM range at expense of the others because the carb doesn't adjust itsself to conditions nearly as much and as well as a fuel injection system. ![]() Simply pouring more gas into an engine which is already running at its peak fuel mixture won't make any more power there's a good chance it'll make less. Simply putting in a larger fuel injector should only cause the engine to run too rich for a brief moment (a fraction of a second) before the ECM notices and compensates. That O2 sensor is constantly telling the ECM if the engine is running lean or rich, and the ECM will compensate by pulsing the fuel injector more or less. The Fiero has a computer controlled closed loop fuel injection system. The thing is, we're not talking about a mechanical carburetor here. 4 speed & good V 6 away, KEEP POSTED ON THIS MODIFICATION others will try, with ported head good header exhaust and manifold match.or better yet 88 duke with rocker rollers ,"stock" s 10 head, an injector that ran a bit rich, would make performance ditch, GREAT FIND,YOU ARE A REGULAR TOM EDISON,WE WOULD HAVE TO WATCH T.V. ![]() I knew some one would have tried this. Now, sitting in salvage yards all over the country is some innocuous car with a tbi that will give the duke, better performance and hopefully better gas mileage, while trying to get my 88 5 speed duke to get 45 mpg at 70mph I found that the s 10 head was the way to go,my duke would blow my present 86 G.T. If there is a tbi that will fit the fiero, that has better performance. ![]() I took the air cleaner off the 4.3 I have and the tbi look so different.I just put the air cleaner back on. ![]()
